Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the 2019 rebooted story of the MW trilogy. It'll have the same characters or new characters but telling a different story. It will not continue after MW3 or be a prequel to any MW/2/3 events. If you're referring to MWR on PC, don't do it. 50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town.
